Depression and anxiety are the most common mental health concerns males face. These diagnoses are seen in conjunction with: substance abuse; eating disorders; compulsive exercise; self-harm like punching or hitting themselves; gambling; sex addiction and infidelity; and many other impulsive behaviors. In addition, anxiety may lead to social isolation, avoidance of new experiences in life, and a sense wasted opportunities or uselessness. While we will tackle the behaviors that may be the immediate concern, the elegant solution is to deal with the depression or anxiety that drives a man to do these self-destructive acts. While a referral for psychiatric medication may help with the biological causes of these disorders, they don't fix beliefs about self-worth and self-efficacy - the core components of self-esteem. Here, you'll have a chance to face it all.
Our therapy services are available to clients who live in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. To make therapy services more accessible, we use telehealth services only at this time. We use HIPAA compliant formats for individual and (in the future) group therapy services. We require that patients are in a quiet and secure location and participate using a computer and headphones to ensure privacy.
We also provide support groups for anyone internationally via telehealth. To learn more current groups

Males have a bad habit of trying to "man up" and push through obstacles in life. It can feel like trying to force the wrong puzzle piece to fit. Doesn't work as much as we would all like, right? So if you're a dude, or the loved one of a dude trying to find them help, please contact us.
